Rocks # 2

WAVE ROCK,  near Hyden is one of WA's most photographed Rock. It looks like  a giant surf wave, hence the name.  It is 14 metres high and 110 metres long of multicoloured granite.

Note the concrete wall that was built around the rock to collect water for the district water supply.

The Hyden Golf Course is below the rock on the town side and the tee off area for  the 16th hole is  actually on the rock itself. Very unique.

  2. It is an amazing rock. I didn't see the Tee Off place or the golf course when I was there. I did wonder what the concrete wall was for. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

    1. Diane, the golf course is at the back of the rock, we walked quite a way up and over the top. The dam is way over, too. Beaut views from up there though and very friendly flies.

  3. Incredible! I've seen this before in photos. It must be amazing to stand right next to it.
