We took a trip to Nambung National Park while my family was visiting for Easter. This is home to limestone formations known as the The Pinnacles. These amazing natural limestone structures, some standing as high as five metres, were formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago, after the sea receded and left deposits of sea shells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements.

ReplyDeleteThere were so many tourists around on Easter Monday, Carole, I have been there a few times before when hardly anyone else was there, so it was a different feel.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky enough to visit The Pinnacles on our Aussie Adventure and agree they are amazing. Thanks for sharing.
