Plough Disc Poppies

These bright red  "poppies" on the roadside at Ballidu were created from old plough discs and painted to commemorate the 100 year Anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli.

Linking today with Ruby Tuesday Too

Another tribute was at the War Memorial where these steel cut outs now stand. They represent the Army, Navy, Air Force and which I thought was a nice touch, the Nurses.

  1. Those poppies are amazing and how well they stand out against the background colour of the ground. The figures too are so well done. It's so nice to see the servicemen and women remembered in our country areas, where so many of them came from.
Thanks so much for sharing these with us.
