    1. Oh thank you Arija, we had some heavy rain in the last fortnight which has brought a lot of plants into life. I have only just moved in here and am being surprised by what is showing up in the empty garden beds. I am not game to do too much digging until I know what is going to show up. Blood Lily, so now I know.

    2. You are so wise to wait. My theory has always been to wait a year and see what the garden brings. I have seen unwary gardeners destroy treasures by instantly wanting to put their stamp on the garden and only wrecking it in the process.
I sincerely wish you many wonderful surprises!

Are they sweet and beautiful?? I wonder how long they'll stay in flower - you must tell.

    1. Hi Rose, the ants and bees love them. The flower is a heavy waxed type, not a lot of fragrance though. I will have to let you know when they start to die off. I know that the leaves start appearing once the flower dies off.

  3. Our little clump is flowering - every year we plan to move the bulbs to a spot where they'll be more noticeable, but every year we leave it too late and miss the window of opportunity!

Paul McCartney is coming to Austin in May and I am going to try to get tickets this morning. I hope I can sleep some. I have loved Paul McCartney since I was 9 and never have seen him!
